In the afternoon, our cruise ship anchored and we transferred to a smaller motorized sampan to travel up the Shennong Stream. After traveling up the stream for about an hour, we transferred to wooden boats. The boat tracker rowed and pulled us a short distance up the stream.

At about 10:30 in the evening, our cruise ship entered a 5 stage lock system to cross the Three Gorges Dam.
