In Shanghai, we stayed at the Regent Hotel. It was very modern and nice. Our room was on the 45th floor & was quite large. An excellent multi-nationality breakfast was included with our room. You could get everything from Dim Sum to bacon & fresh made omelets. At the right is the view from our room. The hotel’s staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our tour of the city started out with a visit to the Shanghai Museum. This museum features bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, jade, furniture & coins of Chinese culture, ranging from the Neolithic Age through Ming & Qing dynasties until modern times.

We went to the top of Jinmao tower where you could get a 360-degree view of the city. Jinmaco tower is the 3rd highest building in the world. It is 420 meters high.
This is a picture of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower that we took from Jinmao.
