On our second day in Guilin, we took a four hour, 52 mile cruise down the river Li. The scenery was beautiful.

Bob was challenged by two men from Taiwan to drink snake liquor. They told him it would make him strong. Notice the liquor bottle on the table. Even though we did not speak each other's language, it got everyone laughing at our table.

The cruise ended at the small town of Yangshuo. We had a great chinese lunch at Jimmy's Cafe and Bar. We had time to do some bargain hunting at the shops along the street. It was very pleasant. The shops were not too busy.

 

 

 

 

 

In the evening, we went to a light show over the Lijiang river. The water stage of the Shansuhui Theatre spans 2 kilometers of the river.
